THE EULOGY, a feature length documentary film on the life and career of Geoffrey Tozer premiered at the Melbourne Film Festival on August 12, 2018.
Although the film offers glimpses into Tozer's magnificent 45-year professional career, the true story of Geoffrey Tozer himself, both in personal and musical terms, is largely absent; the film includes major inaccuracies and factual errors.
As Executor of the Tozer Estate, Peter Wyllie Johnston provided the film makers with unfettered access to the Tozer Archive, but other than in excerpts of on-screen interviews, was not in any way involved in the final version of the film that was presented to the public.
All of the deficiencies in THE EULOGY will be corrected in Geoffrey Tozer: Pure Genius.
